OPTCT + SeNcity Workshop 2024
Computational Techniques in Optics & Photonics
Sensors & Nanophotonics
FEB 23-25
IIT Roorkee
Deadline for on-line registration: February 18th, 2024
The event comprises of two co-hosted workshops.
OPTCT
Theory and computational techniques play a very important role in the development of applications of optics and photonics. The OPTCT workshop would provide a platform to researchers engaged in theory and computational techniques in various areas of photonics including classical optics, guided wave optics, imaging, quantum optics and nonlinear optics. In computation techniques, the emphasis would be on methodology, algorithm, coding interface, novel applications, novel designs and not on routine applications of techniques and commercial softwares. Earlier Workshops were held at IIT Delhi (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022) and IIT Roorkee (2018, 2020). The Workshop is open to researchers and students in the general area of theory & computations in optics & photonics.
Workshop Core Committee: Vipul Rastogi (IITR), Anurag Sharma (IITD), R.K. Varshney (IITD), P. Roy
Chaudhury (IITKGP), Kedar Khare (IITD), E.K. Sharma (Delhi Univ.), L.N. Hazra (Calcutta Univ.), S.
Anantha Ramakrishna (IITK).
SeNcity
This workshop aims to provide a platform to researchers working on the broad areas of Photonic Sensors and Nanophotonics to share ideas on (but not limited to) techniques of theoretical modeling, design and optimization aspects, fabrication techniques, realization, etc.
The workshops will consist of regular and short talks and poster sessions. Regular talks would be of 20 min duration and would present the basics as well as the latest developments of a topic. Short talks would be of 10 min duration and would present original contributions. Regular Talks would be typically given by researchers who have contributed significantly on the subject. Short talks would present the latest results and significant achievements.
